Quantum Games: from a brief to a ready shop, in 7 days.
An owner with a clear goal, a brief and one week. This is what I built, what I decided along the way, and how it ended up in their hands.
- Client
- Quantum Games
- My role
- Web development, UI/UX and support
- Time
- 7 days
- Status
- Delivered, with ongoing support
- Tech
- Next.js, TypeScript, Supabase and Vercel
The brief
It arrived as a short document with direct answers: sell digital products to a young audience, in several countries and mostly on mobile, with paid campaigns from the first month. And one condition: the owner had to be able to run everything without knowing how to code.
- Sell digital products for gamers.
- Several countries from day one.
- An audience that buys mostly from mobile.
- Meta Ads campaigns from the first month.
- A panel to operate without a developer.
What I decided
One site, one address per country
Each country has its own URL, with prices in its currency and its own search indexing.
Checkout through WhatsApp
The purchase ends where the customer is already chatting. No payment gateway: less friction and lower costs to start.
No passwords
Customers sign in with a code sent to their email. One step less and fewer forgotten accounts.
A separate, protected panel
It lives at another address, isn't indexed and requires two-step verification. The database requires it too.
A home page that builds itself
Featured items, deals, new arrivals and categories are arranged from what the owner marks. Nothing to assemble by hand.
Made for mobile
Checked on screens from 360 to 1920 px, with light loading for variable connections.
The shop
Home page, categories and search in plain sight, and a purchase anyone understands in three steps.
The owner's panel
It's organized by tasks, not by tables: Sell, My shop, Customers, Money and System.
- Orders by stage, with alerts for payments to confirm and the delivery message ready for WhatsApp.
- Products with just the basics to create quickly, and advanced settings when needed.
- Texts, banners and FAQs editable without asking for help.
- Exchange rates that update by themselves and that the owner confirms.
- A downloadable backup of orders, customers and products.
Quality and security
Before delivery, everything went through automated tests.
- Tests of the database rules on a real Postgres.
- End-to-end tests of the shop and the panel.
- Layout checks at several widths and accessibility checks.
- A test with a large catalog to measure weight and timings.
- Two-step verification, anti-bot protection on orders, and Meta measurement only with the visitor's consent.
The delivery
I handed over the shop, the code in the owner's account, the accesses with a second factor on their phone, and guides in plain language. I stay with them as an advisor and technical support.
